Carson has played on the IMHS Varsity Baseball team for four years. Passionate about the sport, he has been playing baseball since he was five years old. Carson has a love for baseball, participating in Little League and summer travel baseball, American Legion baseball, and men’s softball. He has also participated in Football, Basketball and soccer during his high school career.
Carson was named the West Pac Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2021 and 2022, selected for the Southern UP All Star Baseball Team and also awarded the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Outstanding Senior Student Athlete award. He has also excelled in the classroom maintaining high honor roll status all four years of high school.
Outside of baseball, Carson is involved with National Honor Society, Key Club, Varsity Club, and has logged over 100 volunteer hours. He currently works in a co-op program at M. J. Electric and plans to major in Accounting and Data Analytics at Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Carson’s parent’s Jeff and Angela McLean and sister Ella McLean attended the signing celebration, along with Iron Mountain Baseball coaches, Tracy Haferkorn and Paul Burgoon, Iron Mountain Superintendent/Athletic Director, Jerry Sardina and Iron Mountain High School Principal, Amy Galvan. Multiple friends were also in attendance.
