![]() Iron Mountain Public Schools welcomes Eli Ward, a new addition to the Iron Mountain Board of Education. Ward was interviewed to fill a board vacancy at the monthly regular meeting held on Thursday, June 22, 2023. One additional candidate was interviewed. Ward was appointed with a 3-2 board vote. Ward is appointed through December 31, 2024 and will be replaced by an individual elected to the position on January 1, 2025 based upon the November 9, 2024 local school board and general election results. Ward is the President and General Manager of Northern RV Center, Inc., husband to wife, Niki, and father to Mountaineers, Abby and Layla. He is a graduate of Kingsford High School, and earned his bachelor's degree in Business Management at Northern Michigan University. Hello Mountaineer graduates,
Your diploma jacket is now available in the High School Office. Please pick up your diploma jacket/cover between the hours of 8 AM and 12 PM on the following summer dates. June 6-8 (Tues-Thurs) June 13-15 (Tues-Thurs) If you arrive outside of these hours, there will be no staff in the High School office to assist you. National Honor Society stoles must be turned into the Guidance Office before 3:00 PM this Friday, June 9 or you will be charged. Guidance Office hours this week are 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM. As a reminder, only invited students may attend this program. Class will begin next Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at North Elementary School (900 Fifth Street, Iron Mountain) for students grades K-8 (as of 2022-2023 school year), and will continue on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings until July 27, 2023. There will be no class the week of Independence Day (July 4, July 5, and July 6). K-8 Start time: 8:45 AM (You may not drop your student off earlier than 8:30 AM as there will be nobody there to supervise them) K-8 End time: 11:45 AM To view the latest available Summer School bus transportation schedules, view the link here.
