We are excited to be implementing a 1:1 program for grades 7-12 this year. Students who have signed the proper forms will have a Chromebook assigned to them that will be used in the classroom and also at home.
Chromebooks will be distributed to students during the August 21st picture day at the Izzo-Mariucci Center. When students stop by to have their pictures taken and collect their schedules, if they have signed the handbook acknowledgement form, they will also receive their chromebook for the 18-19 school year.
Please review the Chromebook Handbook and the Technology Acceptable Use Policy by following these links:
18-19 Chromebook Handbook
18-19 Student Technology Acceptable Use Policy
You can also view these documents on our school website: http://www.imschools.org/technology
The handbook contains rules and guidelines for the use and care of the student chromebook. We encourage you to read this document along with your student.
After reviewing these documents with your student(s), you may choose one of two options to sign the acknowledgement:
- Printable Acknowledgement Form
- The digital acknowledgement form link is only available via email to prevent abuse. The link has been emailed to 7-12 parents through our Powerschool alert system. If you did not receive that email, please send an email to chromebook@imschools.org to request the online form.
Hard copies of the handbook and the acknowledgement forms can be found at the IMHS and Superintendent Offices. If you have access to a printer, you may print the form and sign it and bring it with on Tuesday, August 21st. Students who do not have a signed form will not receive their chromebook.
If your student will not be able to make it to the August 21st event, chromebooks will be distributed to students who have signed forms on the first day of school in the Media Center. We look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!
