| Our media center presently accommodates all
prep kindergarten through eight grade students at the Central School.
The kindergarten
through fifth grade students have a scheduled library time once per week. During
this time students are learning library skills and participating in activities that will
increase their reading, writing, and research skills. The Middle School students
may use the library during their study session times and advisory time. The library also has open
times in which teachers can sign up to use the media center with their class.
The Media Center is equipped with seven multi-media computers and a laser printer all connected to the school's network. In addition to the computers, the library carries an assortment of magazines, newspapers, books, reference materials, instructional materials, and audio visual equipment. A Teacher's Corner is also available for the staff at Central School. Staff can find a wide variety of resources including lesson plan ideas, activities kits, learning station kits, puppets, educational games, etc. We promote a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The students are welcome to use the library before, during, and after school. We stress the importance of reading.. |
