Absentee Ballots
Absentee Ballots can be requested individually beginning 45 days prior to an election. Applications can be downloaded from the State website or requested by phone by calling 906-774-8530. Ballots can be obtained in-person (with photo ID), or by mail. View or download an application (if available).
Please note: Although the State of Michigan's deadline day to request a ballot for mailing is the Saturday (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) before an election, many voters who request them for mailing on Thursday, Friday or Saturday before the deadline have not been receiving them in time. We would recommend requesting ballots earlier to ensure your ballot will be counted on election day.
