Accelerated Reader
East Elementary AR Quiz Lists

The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. This program is useful in motivating and encouraging readers and assisting teachers in accurately evaluating and elevating students' reading levels through multiple-choice testing on the books they have read. The tests provide instant feedback to both teacher and student.

Students select books on their reading level, read independently or with a partner, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level. Students get a percentage of these points based on how many of the test questions they get right. Students may use these points to purchase prizes once a month from the Accelerated Reader store.

Children receive a printed T.O.P.S report after taking each quiz indicating their score on that test and the program also tracks their progress over the course of the school year.  East Elementary currently has computer quizzes for over 1000 children's books.  Use the links below to find more information on the Accelerated Reader program or to browse through East's quiz list.
